Carrie first performed ABA therapy at the age of 19, where her primary focus, along with teaching language and appropriate behaviors, was to help acclimate a young boy with Autism into various community experiences. She then went on to become an ESE teacher, before returning to the field of behavior analysis and pursuing a Masters of Science in ABA from the Florida Institute of Technology. She has consulted with a local private school to design and implement an academic curriculum along with behavioral support for children with special needs. Carrie has extensive experience in servicing children in and around Polk County in centers, schools and homes.
Amy received a Masters of Education from the University of Florida, and was working as an adult therapist in a community mental health center early in her career. She then began working as an ABA therapist before becoming certified in behavior analysis. Her passion and commitment to children frames her work. Amy has over 10 years experience in providing one-on-one ABA therapy, parent behavior support, and school consultations in and around Polk County.
Christine received her BA in Psychology in December 2013 from the University of South Florida, and has been working in the field of behavior analysis since 2014. She is currently working towards her masters degree in behavior analysis at the University of South Florida.
Emily is from Paris, TX, and moved to Lakeland in May 2017. She graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Child Life from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas in 2016. Before Emily joined the Trek team, she had been working with a child in the school setting as a behavior therapist for one year. She has four years of experience working with children in a variety of settings, including summer camps, infant daycare, classrooms and preschools.
Brianna graduated with a Bachelors of Behavioral Healthcare with a concentration in children's mental health in 2017. Once she began working in behavior analysis, she knew she had found her passion. Brianna is currently a BCaBA and working towards becoming a supervisor with the BACB.
Maryah was working as a teaching assistant in a school for children with autism before deciding to work in the field of behavior analysis and become a Registered Behavior Technician. Maryah graduated with a Bachelors of Psychology in 2018 from the University of Central Florida and is currently pursuing her BCaBA certification.
Aly graduated from George Jenkins High School in 20113, and several experiences led to her decision to work with children with special needs, including assisting in an ESE high school classroom and working in a respite care setting. Aly was also a paraprofessional in a school for children on the spectrum. Aly is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Katie graduated from George Jenkins High School in 2015, and has worked as a teacher in early childhood education settings for five years. She has loved being with children all of her life. Katie is currently pursuing her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education at Polk State College.
Stephanie graduated from the University of South Florida in 2018 with a Bachelors of Psychology and a Bachelors of Behavioral Healthcare. She's always wanted to work with children. Stephanie is a Registered Behavior Technician.
Laura graduated from G Holmes Braddock Senior High School in Miami in 2017. Laura decided to obtain her RBT certification because her mother works as an RBT also, and she felt inspired to work in the field because she loves children. Laura plans to pursue a career as a speech pathologist. Laura is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Tiffany graduated with a Bachelors in Psychology from the University of South Florida in May 2018. She began with Trek as an intern, and always knew she wanted to work with children. Tiffany is currently pursuing her BCaBA certification.
